Did your company buy American Echo?
No, we are the same company. After several years of successfully providing Echo Beds®, and then Stress Echo Beds®, the original patient platforms designed specifically for echocardiography, we expanded our product line into other areas. Head Up Tilt™Tables, beds and tables for vascular and general ultrasound, as well as portable C-arm tables, are now available with the same unsurpassed quality standards. So a name change was appropriate. We selected Medical Positioning, Inc. because the patient platforms we make are designed to place Cardiology and/or Radiology patients in the optimal position to improve diagnostic imaging and patient outcomes.

Why do you have so many different models?
We have over 150 models because our approach has always been to ask customers what they need and then exceed their expectations. We have learned that our customers have very diverse needs and circumstances. We offer more choices so that you can have exactly what you need, without paying for features you don't want, whether you are working in a hospital, imaging center, clinic or physician's office.

Who are some of your customers?
Click here to view a partial list of our customers across the USA. We have international customers as well. And we are proud to note that 42 of the top 50 hospitals (US News & World Report) use our equipment. Luminaries (opinion leaders) in various disciplines use our equipment because they prefer the high quality and superior performance that our products deliver.

Why are your products so expensive?
They're NOT. We manufacture several product lines and offer products that are sold at prices comparable to virtually all other manufacturers, and our products outperform competitive offerings. We do sell products of UNSURPASSED QUALITY. We have always had the goal of providing products that both improve images and patient outcomes. This goal has led us to work closely with practitioners (sonographers, radiology technologists, physicians, and other professionals) to develop the products that we sell. This approach has always emphasized quality and durability, recognized the requirements and demands of a busy hospital environment, and sometimes resulted in increased initial price. Like any piece of high quality equipment, owners and users conclude that the product, performance and life of the product more than justify the initial cost.

Are your products in compliance with FDA?

What type of training is required to use your products?
The vast majority of the products manufactured and sold by Medical Positioning Inc. do not require either an in-service or application training. The products are shipped fully assembled and come out of the carton in "plug and play" readiness. The products are accompanied by instructions for use.

Two of our products require an in-service, and in these cases the in-service is included as a part of the purchase. The supine bicycle Stress Echo?Bed is operated by a computer controller. Alternatively the bicycle ergometer may be interfaced with a Q-Stress? 12- lead ECG from Quinton, Inc., so that the Q-Stress? controls all the functions of the supine bicycle, as well as the ECG. The Decubitus Breast Imaging?Table is a uniquely designed platform for use when performing stereotactic core breast biopsy. One of our in-service representatives will contact you to coordinate the timing of the in-service following a purchase of either of the above two products.

Do you sell ECG equipment for use with Stress Echo?
Yes, we have partnered with Quinton, Inc. to sell the Q-Stress™ with our Stress Echo Bed®. We can offer the unique feature of interfacing the supine ergometer with the Q-Stress™, so that all the ergometer functions are controlled from the Q-Stress™workstation.
